‘Rock the bulb’: Get free compact fluorescent bulbs

So what’s better than getting a free energy-efficient light bulb? 10 free energy-efficient bulbs!
Earlier this month, Puget Sound Energy kicked off its summertime “Rock The Bulb” program at various locations around the Sound.
Residential PSE customers can bring up to 10 incandescent bulbs to the 8 “Rock the Bulb” events and exchange them for free Compact Fluorescent bulbs.
Some people don’t like CFL bulbs, but there’s no question they are good for the environment. ENERGY STAR qualified CFLs use up to 75 percent less energy than conventional incandescent bulbs while providing the same amount of light. And they last a about 10 times longer.
CFL’s have come a long way in the last few years: more shapes and sizes and better color control.
Here’s a schedule of remaining Rock the Bulb Events:
• July 23-24 – Kent – Fred Meyer, SE 240th St.
• July 30-31 – Renton – Fred Meyer, 365 Renton Center Way SW
