Voter registration deadline fast approaching

If you still haven’t registered to vote but you’d like to make your voice heard this November, don’t fret.

All King County residents not currently registered to vote have until Monday, October 31 to register.

To register, just stop by Renton’s King County Elections Office or the Voter Registration Annex before 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

The Elections office is open weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., while the annex is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., according to the county.

In order to register, you need to be at least 18-years old by November 8, a citizen of the United States and a legal Washington resident. If you’ve been convicted of a felony or have been declared by a court to be mentally incompetent, you are not eligible to vote.

For more information on registering and voting, call the King County Voter Hotline at (206) 296-VOTE (8683).
